When in motion, the car detects objects approaching from the front or sides and notifies the driver via the cluster display and a warning sound to help prevent a collision. If the risk of collision increases despite the warning, the car is designed to automatically assist in braking, helping to improve reaction time and reduce the risk of a collision.

When the driver activates a turn signal, this system warns if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle in the driver’s blind spot. If the risk increases after the initial warning, the system is designed to automatically assist in braking to help the drive avoid collision. Additionally, the blind spot monitor automatically displays on the cluster, providing enhanced visibility for safer turns and lane changes.

Monitoring the distance from the car in front, this feature is designed to automatically maintains a safe speed and distance, while helping to keep you in the centre of the lane. Activate the turn signal while turning the steering wheel to change lanes, and the system automatically guides you where you want to go.

If you begin to drift out of your lane without using a turn signal, this feature will sound an alert. Should the drift continue toward an unintended lane change, the system is designed to provide steering assistance to guide you back into your lane.

Convenience plus safety. This function assists in maintaining a distance from the car in front while continuing to drive at the set speed. When your passenger opens a door to get out, the Electrified G80 keeps watch for vehicles approaching from behind and sounds an alert if it detects a potential collision. For additional safety, the electronic Child Safety Lock remains in operation, preventing the doors from opening. And if there is a risk of a rear side collision, that door is designed to stay shut, even when the door open button is pressed.
